Senior Student Recruiter

Kenzie Academy is looking for a Senior Student Recruiter to join our fast-growing, Indianapolis-based startup that’s reimagining education. You will work with the marketing and recruiting team to recruit students for the Kenzie technical training program, and manage applicants through the recruiting funnel.

Kenzie Academy, a tech apprenticeship program that develops modern tech workers, reimagines higher education, combining training in the latest tech skills, real-world work experience, and mentorship from industry experts. Kenzie offers courses in Software Engineering, UX Engineering and Digital Marketing, paired with apprenticeships, closing the gap between school and employment.

  • At least 1-3 years of recent full life-cycle recruiting

  • At least 1 year in a high-volume, agency setting is preferred

  • Must have prior experience with managing candidates and documentation in an applicant tracking system and conducting BOTH internet and database sourcing

    + Past experience with intern, college, or entry-level recruiting is a plus

  • 2-5 years experience in technical recruiting preferred

About the Role

You will be a community facing point of contact for Kenzie Academy. You will own the experience, application and enrollment process for one of Kenzie’s training programs. Programs currently include Software Engineering, Digital Marketing, and User Experience Design.

You will work directly with interested applicants at all stages of the sales process. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying new communities and creating new strategies to grow our applicant pool in Indiana.

Responsibilities include:

  • Applicant Communications & Information Sharing: You will directly interact with applicants, answering questions, explaining the Kenzie program, hosting campus tours, and consistently corresponding with applicants overtime until they officially start the application process.  

  • Application Process: Once an applicant applies, you will be responsible for scheduling on campus interviews, welcoming applicants to campus, and conducting culture interviews.

  • Recruiting: You will proactively create and implement plans to recruit potential students to apply to Kenzie.

  • Community Facing Interactions: Identifying various community programs for Kenzie Academy to be involved with and offering our space to meet up groups.
