Associate Instructor, Digital Marketing

 Kenzie Academy is a 6-month to 2-year tech apprenticeship school that is tackling the major opportunities gap in America. By applying a new forward-thinking education model -- including project-based learning, critical skills training and apprenticeship -- our mission is to develop a new talent pool and attract more technology jobs and opportunities across the nation.

Digital Marketing is a 6-month course designed to give students a holistic understanding of digital marketing. By the end of the program, students will have gained competency in a variety of tactical channels (e.g., content marketing, email marketing, organic social, SEM/PPC, analytics) and strategic thinking to become effective T-shaped marketers. We are specifically looking for an instructor to lead curriculum development and class instruction for the second half of the course, which focuses on SEM/PPC and analytics.

Upon program completion, students have the option to continue on to a 6-month apprenticeship to continue honing their skills.


Who You Are


  • 4-7 years of digital marketing experience including, but not limited to, analytics, SEM/PPC, conversion rate optimization, and end-to-end marketing strategy.

  • At least 2 years of running successful Google, Facebook, or other SEM/PPC campaigns. In this role, you will need to be able to teach both strategy and execution.


  • You have a desire to teach students of all ages and backgrounds.

  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • You are comfortable taking initiative and working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Please note that while the class meets evenings (M-Th, 6-9pm ET) and the occasional weekend, this is a full-time position - there is scheduling flexibility to accommodate for evening class hours.

  • Remote is ok.

Teaching requirements

  • Work closely with our head of curriculum to design and implement curriculum. As a hands-on systems thinker, you will work together to create compelling course content, develop engaging activities to meet learning objectives.

  • Ability to motivate and energize students. You are excited to share your passion and enthusiasm for digital marketing, and can work across a broad range of personalities, learning, and work styles to get to that “aha!” moment.

  • Work closely with admissions team to help interview and admit future students.
