Do I have to know how to code in order to join this program?

Absolutely not! We're looking for self-starters who have a curiosity with technology, enjoy working with a diverse group of people with shared interests, can handle when things get tough, and want to be part of a valuable and collaborative tech community.  Kenzie is open to all students as long as they have the right attitude and aptitude. Do you offer courses in-person, online, or both?

Currently, we only offer courses in-person at our Downtown Indianapolis location. However, in the the future we plan to expand to other locations and offer online courses.


how Long is the prograM?

Our main offering is a two-year program that can be broken down into three sections: Front-End Development (six months), Full-Stack Development (six months), and Software Engineering (one year). Click here for more details on the program.


how much does it cost?

The full tuition of the first section is $12,000. After the first section, students will begin working in the Kenzie Studio, learning how to tackle real-world projects. The consulting work on these projects will help subsidize the next two sections of the program. The second section is reduced to $8,000 after the consulting subsidy. The final section will be no additional cost to the student and they will receive an hourly stipend from their work. Click here for a more detailed breakdown of the cost structure.


What do I receive for completing The Full Kenzie Academy Software engineering program?

After completing our two year Software Engineering Course (all three sections), you will receive a certificate and guaranteed job placement. You will also have received 18 months of software development consulting experience working with other developers on real-world projects with companies both local and coastal. Finally, you will have received an hourly stipend for consulting work done in the second year of the program.


Can I do this part time?

No, Kenzie Academy offers a demanding learning program, students are required to commit to full-time participation. Learning how to code is learning a new language; devotion and immersion are required.


What Is a “Full stack engineer / Developer”?

Full-Stack web developers will be comfortable with both front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript that control the appearance of pages in the web browser, as well as at least one server side language such as Python and effective use of relational databases.
